2A Region IV District 28's top pitcher this week was
Ryan Havrda. He won one game and struck out two batters.
Schulenburg went from 2725 to 2533 in the
national rankings since last week after going 2-1 in the past seven days.
Schulenburg is currently No. 251 in the Texas state rankings, with an overall record of 17-9.
The Shorthorns' pitching staff dominated this week, allowing only nine hits and five walks, both of which led the league. Schulenburg has given up a mere 171 hits on the year in addition to compiling 155 strikeouts.
Ross Bludau is the leader in that category with 57 Ks on the season.
The week's strikeout crown belonged to
Hayden Besetzny, who turned in three Ks for the Shorthorns. He's second in the league with 50 total strikeouts.
