Basketball Recap: Tucker Brown's Big Game Can't Quite Lead First Baptist over Victory Christian Academy

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, First Baptist couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 60-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Victory Christian Academy Patriots on Wednesday.

First Baptist's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tucker Brown, who went 6-for-14 on his way to 18 points. The dominant performance gave Brown a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Jones, who posted 13 points.

First Baptist's defeat dropped their record down to 22-4. As for Victory Christian Academy, the win (which was their 17th in a row) raised their record to 28-5.

First Baptist does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Victory Christian Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 49-35 loss against O'Connell on the 27th.
