The La Joya Community Fighting Lobos will take on the Glendale Cardinals at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. La Joya Community knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Glendale likes a good challenge.
La Joya Community is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Youngker just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Roughriders by a score of 19-17.

Meanwhile, Glendale beat Washington 15-10 on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Cardinals in their matchups with the Rams: they've now won four in a row.
The team relied heavily on Reeanah Sesma, who scored three runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-2. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Tzintzuni Hernandez Garcia, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.
La Joya Community's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Glendale, their win bumped their record up to 3-6.
Glendale's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: La Joya Community hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .414. It's a different story for Glendale, though, as they've only averaged .244. Will they be able to contain La Joya Community's hitters?
Everything went La Joya Community's way against Glendale in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, as La Joya Community made off with a 19-4 victory. Does La Joya Community have another victory up their sleeve, or will Glendale turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
