It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Buena Park Coyotes can now relate to. They were beaten by Yucca Valley 35-0 on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 62 points in the game before, Buena Park couldn't push the score so high this time.
Myles Harper was his usual excellent self, rushing for 170 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.5 yards per carry. Harper really tore up the turf during one magnificent 73-yard run. Javin Hudson also helped out with an impressive 97 receiving yards.
Buena Park's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 6-6. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 13.5 points per game. As for Yucca Valley, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-3.
Buena Park does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Yucca Valley will look to defend their home field on Friday against Santa Fe at 7:00 p.m. Santa Fe is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games.
