Western recap September 10, 2013
Kevin Moore of Madison ran for the longest rushing play in Western this season against Valhalla last week. Moore ran for 75 yards on the play and finished with 181 on the day as his team topped the Norsemen.
Mission Bay scaled the state rankings by moving to 223 from 299 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Buccaneers were able to make move up by besting Horizon 41-0.
Kearny's dynamic duo of Stephen Pulley and Abraham Garcia proved tough for San Ysidro to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Pulley threw for 137 yards and 2 touchdowns and Garcia had 60 yards receiving. Rashad Russell helped Kearny's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 41 yards.
The Komets' dynamic duo of Pulley and Garcia proved to be unstoppable against the Cougars, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Pulley put up the best numbers in passing as Kearny defeated San Ysidro.
Moore was the most successful running back in the league this week. Teammate Isaiah Osborne added to the ground attack by rushing for 78 yards.
Garcia was the best wideout in Western this week as Kenny Nears' team topped terance tucker's team.
The Komets were the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from fifth to third in the league. Kearny vanquished the Cougars 50-36 earlier in the week.
