Derrick Henry's assault on the all-time career rushing record highlights this week's national high school football stat stars. The Yulee senior posted 455 yards and five touchdowns to move him within 800 yards of Ken Hall's all-time mark of 11,232 yards.
Henry's total was not the highest of the week, as Tanner Wood of Conway Springs (Kan.) ran for 659 yards against Anthony-Harper-Chaparral (Anthony, Kan.). However, Wood's totals were not reported to MaxPreps and thus are not included in this list.
Zach Duwe of Anthony-Harper-Chaparral does appear on the list, however, as he threw for 518 yards and six touchdowns in the 84-56 loss to Conway Springs. His total is the second-best mark of the week.
Also included in this week's stat stars is Jabrill Peppers of Paramus Catholic (N.J.). The junior running back rushed for 389 yards and four touchdowns in Paramus Catholic's 44-35 upset win over St. Joseph Regional (Montvale, N.J.).
The following are the nation's top stat stars based on statistics reported by coaches to MaxPreps.
