The Parkland Trojans and the Eastside Tigers will round out the year against one another at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday at. Parkland is looking to tack on another W to their seven-game streak on the road dating back to last season.
Last Friday, Parkland was able to grind out a solid victory over Northampton, taking the game 62-54. 62 seems to be a good number for Parkland as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Eastside has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 31 points or more this season. They took their matchup on the road on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 78-47 victory over Seneca. Given Eastside's advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 40th, while Seneca is ranked 166th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Jalen Long and Jahaan Green were among the main playmakers for Eastside as the former scored 18 points along with five assists and the latter scored 22 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. The contest was Green's third in a row with at least ten points. Mahdee Mcnair was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Parkland's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Eastside, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
