Leading Mount Airy Christian Academy to victory were Garrett Alford and Joey Stanton. Alford dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds, while Stanton scored 20 points along with six rebounds and three blocks. The game was Stanton's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Brady Shinabery, who scored six points along with three steals.
Mount Airy Christian Academy pushed their record up to 9-1 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points per game. As for Greater Grace Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mount Airy Christian Academy will take on Rockbridge Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Rockbridge Academy is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for Greater Grace Christian Academy, they will be playing at home against Covenant Life at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
