Granger Christian has enjoyed the comforts of home their last four games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Trinity Titans at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Last Saturday, Granger Christian was the victim of a tough 55-35 loss at the hands of Hammond Academy of Science & Tech.
Meanwhile, Trinity struggled with threes on Saturday (Culver Community had six more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Trinity's tough 46-26 defeat to Culver Community might stick with them for a while. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Trinity has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Trinity got a solid performance out of Jacob Palmer, who scored seven points along with six rebounds and three steals. Those six rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathan Skendzel, who scored eight points.
Granger Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Trinity, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.
Granger Christian might still be hurting after the 54-34 loss they got from Trinity in their previous meeting back in January of 2020. Can Granger Christian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
