The Tilden Blue Devils's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They fell 44-35 to Instituto Health Sciences. Tilden was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Instituto Health Sciences apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
Several Blue Devils players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jose Pacheco, who scored seven points along with eight rebounds and two blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Tavon Davis, who scored nine points along with three steals.
Tilden has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. As for Instituto Health Sciences, their win bumped their record up to 1-5.
Tilden won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Goode STEM Academy at 5:00 p.m. on January 26th. Goode STEM Academy is no doubt hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses. Instituto Health Sciences will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Cristo Rey Jesuit at 6:00 p.m. on February 7th.
