The Bayside Marlins can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Cape Henry Collegiate 58-23 on the road. The win was just what Bayside needed coming off of a 65-34 loss in their prior match.
Bayside was led to victory by Micala Poe and Jessie Ware. Poe scored 17 points along with six assists and six steals, while Ware dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten steals. Ware is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Rayani Jones was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with two blocks.
Bayside has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 7-6 record this season. As for Cape Henry Collegiate, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-4.
Bayside will be playing at home against Salem at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cape Henry Collegiate, they will head out on the road to challenge Walsingham Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
