Baseball Recap: Simsbury Makes It Four in a Row on the Road

Simsbury got themselves on the board against Northwest Catholic on Wednesday, but Northwest Catholic never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 9-0 margin over the Lions. This was payback for the Trojans, who suffered a 7-4 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Simsbury's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-5. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Northwest Catholic, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.

Simsbury will head out on the road to face off against Bristol Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Northwest Catholic will be paying especially close attention to the Trojans' game: after the Trojans face off against the Rams, they'll take on Northwest Catholic again at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.
