The Howard Wildcats may have come out ahead in their last contest, but they shouldn't get too cocky given who is up next. They have the luxury of staying at home another game and will welcome the William Penn Colonials on Tuesday. Howard will really need to gear up for this challenge, as William Penn will be their toughest opponent yet.
The Wildcats didn't have too much trouble with McKean at home last week as they won 89-77.
Meanwhile, the Colonials faced Appoquinimink in a battle between two of the state's top teams. It was close but no cigar for William Penn as they fell 63-60 to Appoquinimink last Thursday. Things were expected to be close, but in this case the rankings mixed up the winning team.
Howard's victory lifted them to 6-9 while William Penn's defeat dropped them down to 11-2. We'll see if the Wildcats can repeat their recent success or if William Penn bounces back and reverse their fortune.
