Josh Smith's Big Game Leads Africentric Early College over South
Starting off the list is Africentric Early College's Josh Smith, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Smith threw for 274 yards and six touchdowns.

Independence has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 4-5 record this season. Weaver will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant performance when he faces off against Walnut Ridge on Friday.

Keeping Weaver company is Montael Davis, a fellow Independence player. He rushed for 129 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 65 yards.
Unfortunately for West, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Davis. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Davis saw the Cowboys), he rushed for 101 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries.

Caleb Anthony Delivers Electric Effort Vs South
Africentric Early College picked up their fifth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Caleb Anthony. Anthony turned in nothing short of a gem, picking up 67 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Anthony and Africentric Early College will take on Eastmoor Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Nubians got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Warriors, probably because Anthony had a solid game then too: he rushed for 71 yards and a touchdown on only five carries. Can he match (or beat) that performance?
