West Branch received a tough blow as they fell 40-21 to Canton South. West Branch's defeat signaled the end of their 11-game winning streak.
West Branch's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Beau Alazaus, who threw for 230 yards and three touchdowns. Jeremiah Thomas was another key contributor, picking up 126 receiving yards and a touchdown.
West Branch's defeat dropped their record down to 11-2. As for Canton South, they have yet to lose a game at home this season, leaving them with a 14-0 record.
West Branch does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Canton South will be playing at home against Struthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The last four games Struthers has played have been within five points, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
