The Canastota Red Raiders gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They managed a 59-54 win over Adirondack. That's another feather in the cap for Canastota, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Despite the loss, Adirondack still got an impressive performance from Bailey Gleasman, who scored 28 points along with 8 rebounds. Gleasman is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan McGrath, who scored 10 points along with 6 assists.
Canastota's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Adirondack, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Little Falls the next time they take the court. Adirondack will head out to face Little Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, while Canastota will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
