After a string of three wins, the Legacy Charter Eagles's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 63-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mount Dora Christian Academy. While losing is never fun, Legacy Charter can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 356th, while Mount Dora Christian Academy is ranked 162nd).
Despite the loss, Legacy Charter saw an underclassman step up: Khori Polarchy scored 24 points. The game was Polarchy's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Smith, who scored 11 points.
Legacy Charter now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Mount Dora Christian Academy, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Legacy Charter won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Horizon at 7:00 p.m. on December 13th. As for Mount Dora Christian Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Orangewood Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Orangewood Christian's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five games.
