The Harrison Central Huskies will be playing at home against the Martins Ferry Purple Riders at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Harrison Central is coming into the contest hot, having won their last 11 games.
On Thursday, Harrison Central didn't have too much trouble with Buckeye Local at home as they won 61-42. Given Harrison Central's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 90th, while Buckeye Local is ranked 742nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, even though Bishop Rosecrans scored an imposing 57 points on Thursday, Martins Ferry still came out on top. Martins Ferry took their matchup against Bishop Rosecrans 70-57.
Harrison Central's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-1. As for Martins Ferry, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.
Harrison Central was able to grind out a solid win over Martins Ferry in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, winning 89-79. Does Harrison Central have another victory up their sleeve, or will Martins Ferry turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
