Eagle Mountain had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23 points) and they went ahead and made it eight on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Trinity Christian Lions 49-46. While the Knights didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-21), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Eagle Mountain's win bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Trinity Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.

Coincidentally, Eagle Mountain and Trinity Christian will both be playing Lake Belton the next time they take the court. The Knights will head out to face the Broncos at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, while the Lions will play them later in the day, at 12:00 p.m.
