They took their match on the road on Thursday with ease, bagging a 71-33 victory over La Quinta. Given Redlands East Valley's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 338th, while La Quinta is ranked 892nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Redlands East Valley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jeremiah Ivens, who scored 22 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 steals. The game was Ivens' tenth in a row with at least ten points. Darrell Green was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with 6 assists and 5 steals.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought contest, but Los Osos had to settle for a 53-51 loss against Western Christian on Friday.
Redlands East Valley has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Los Osos, their loss dropped their record down to 7-2.
