The Davis Blue Devils's seven-game losing streak dating back to last season came to an end on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 53-35 win over Elk Grove. That looming 53-35 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Davis yet this season.
Davis got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Aidan Crawford out in front who scored 17 points. The game was Crawford's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jadyn Coaker, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds.
Despite the defeat, Elk Grove saw an underclassman step up: Noah Hargrave scored 12 points.
Elk Grove struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Davis pulled down 16 offensive rebounds.
Davis' win bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Elk Grove, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.
Davis will be playing at home against Wood on Thursday. Elk Grove and Laguna Creek will face off at 7:30 p.m. on December 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Laguna Creek has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 194 points over their last three contests.
