The Lakeview Centennial Patriots will head out on the road to face off against the Naaman Forest Rangers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Lakeview Centennial is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Naaman Forest in Texas (Lakeview Centennial is ranked 321st, while Naaman Forest is ranked 704th).
Last Friday, Lakeview Centennial took a serious blow against Wylie East, falling 62-14. Lakeview Centennial was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 55-0.
Meanwhile, Naaman Forest's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 28-14 to North Garland, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.
Naaman Forest's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Chance Ables, who picked up 177 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and Deangelo Perales who threw for 322 yards and two touchdowns while completing 72.5% of his passes.
The losses dropped Lakeview Centennial to 5-4 and Naaman Forest to 1-9.
Lakeview Centennial strolled past Naaman Forest in their previous matchup back in November of 2022 by a score of 27-13. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Naaman Forest's ISAIAH CUNNING, who rushed for 153 yards and a touchdown. Now that he won't be playing on Thursday, will it be that much easier for Lakeview Centennial to walk away with another win? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
