The Senn Bulldogs are taking a road trip to take on the Northside Mustangs at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Senn is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
Senn will bounce into Thursday's matchup after beating Lake View, who they had gone 0-5 against in their five prior meetings. The Bulldogs put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 12-1 win on Wednesday. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by ten runs or more this season.

Audrey Lebovitz was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out 11 batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than 11 strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-2. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Melissa Solis, who scored three runs and stole five bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last three times she's played. Gabrielle Smith also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Senn always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .680. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .561 or higher in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Northside, who bounced back after a loss on the road back in March. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Hancock on Thursday, sneaking past 12-10. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Mustangs considering their one-run performance the matchup before.
Payton Phoxay was a standout: she scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Jilliyn Yung, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.
Senn's victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 13.8 runs this season. As for Northside, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
Northside's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Senn has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.2 hits per game. It's a different story for Northside, though, as they've been averaging 11 hits. Given Senn's sizable advantage in that area, the Mustangs will need to find a way to close that gap.
