Baseball Recap: Sutton Wins Going Away Against Leicester

Sutton never let their opponents score on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Leicester Wolverines as they made off with a 10-0 victory. The Sammies/Suzies might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by ten runs or more this season.

Sutton got a massive performance out of Jackson Kehowski, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Max Perry was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.

Sutton is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Leicester, they dropped their record down to 1-4 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

Sutton will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Burncoat at 3:30 p.m. on the 28th. As for Leicester, they will take on South at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
