The Jim Hill Tigers''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They suffered a tough 42-16 defeat at the hands of Forest Hill. Jim Hill was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Forest Hill apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.
When it comes to explaining why Jim Hill lost, one person who can't be blamed is Adam Tolliver. Despite the final result, he rushed for 74 yards and two touchdowns.
Forest Hill got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was ZALYAN THOMPSON out in front who rushed for 180 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries. JAMARCUS BYRD was another key contributor, gaining 137 total yards and a touchdown.
Jim Hill's defeat was their sixth straight at home , which bumped their record down to 2-9. As for Forest Hill, their victory bumped their record up to 5-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jim Hill will challenge Murrah at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. Murrah presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Jim Hill in Mississippi (Murrah is ranked 86th, while Jim Hill is ranked 222nd). As for Forest Hill, they will head out on the road to face off against Terry at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
