Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Perry). They blew past the Kirtland Hornets 13-2 on Monday. The Pirates haven't had any issues with the Hornets recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive  win against them.

Perry let  Madeline Infalvi and  Rosalyn Tharp run wild. Infalvi  scored three  runs and  stole four bases while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances, while  Tharp  scored two  runs and  stole three bases while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances. Those  three  stolen bases gave  Tharp a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Elise Strahan, who  scored three  runs and  stole two bases while going 1-for-3.
 Perry  hit smart and  finished the game with only one  strikeout. They are 2-1 when  they post two or more  strikeouts.
The  victory  got Perry back to even at 3-3. As for Kirtland, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Perry will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Conneaut  at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. The  matchup will  give Perry their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Kirtland, they will challenge Harding at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
