Branchville won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Tuesday. They took a serious blow against Whale Branch, falling 80-46. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Branchville has suffered yet this season.
Meanwhile, Bamberg-Ehrhardt's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They were the victim of a tough 69-49 loss at the hands of Whale Branch. Bamberg-Ehrhardt has not had much luck with Whale Branch recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Loss or not, Bamberg-Ehrhardt got some senior leadership from Eric Parker and Isiah Johnson. Parker scored 14 points along with nine rebounds and six assists, while Johnson. scored 14 points along with six assists and two steals. Another player making a difference was Elijah Wright, who scored four points along with six rebounds.
Branchville's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Bamberg-Ehrhardt, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.
Branchville was taken down by Bamberg-Ehrhardt 75-46 when the teams last played back in February of 2023. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Branchville was down 45-22.
