Christ Prep Academy made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 13,592 from 13,962. The improvement was the result of 23-14 victory over Jayhawk Linn last week.
Sunrise Christian Academy's Zach HOWELL and Seth YOUNG have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Midwest Christian in both passing and receiving yards. HOWELL has thrown for 1822 yards this season, while YOUNG, a 5-foot-8 receiver, has 50 catches for 491 yards. The Patriots' Josiah Thill leads the league in rushing yards with 325.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Christ Prep Academy takes on second place Sunrise Christian Academy. Last week, Christ Prep Academy bested the Jayhawks, while the Buffaloes lost to Community Christian.
Going into this week's game against Jim Cook's team, Sunrise Christian Academy's HOWELL needs 178 passing yards to surpass 2,000 on the season.
There should be lots of points scored when Trey Hall's team and the Patriots face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Buffaloes comes in having scored 136 this season, while Christ Prep Academy has scored 97. Sunrise Christian Academy scored 12 points last week as it lost to the Royals.
