The Cypress Lake Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher  on Monday after their fourth straight loss. They took a  83-73 hit to the loss column at the hands of Naples. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game  last Friday (63), Cypress Lake still had to take the loss.
 When it comes to explaining why Cypress Lake lost, one person who can't be blamed is  Giordan Easely. Despite the final result, he  scored 29 points along with five  assists and three  steals. That was a full 39.7% of Cypress Lake's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's  earned more than a third of the team's points.  Eli Reed was another key contributor,  scoring 13 points along with four  steals.
 Cypress Lake has  not been sharp recently, as they've  lost eight of their last nine matchups,  which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season. As for Naples, their win  ended a three-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 9-11.
 Cypress Lake will be playing in front of their home fans against First Baptist Academy at 7:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Naples will be staying on the road  on Wednesday to face off against Charlotte at 7:30  p.m.  on January 24th. Charlotte presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Naples in Florida (Charlotte is ranked 131st, while Naples is ranked 390th).
