Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ridgemont). They walked away with an 85-72 win over the Mt. Gilead Indians on Saturday. Winning may never get old, but the Golden Gophers sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Ridgemont pushed their record up to 8-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Mt. Gilead, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ridgemont will venture away from home to take on Riverdale at 7:30 p.m. on January 7th. As for Mt. Gilead, they are taking a road trip to face off against Fredericktown at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Fredericktown will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Mt. Gilead surely won't give up without a fight.
