The Oakridge Owls will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Trinity Christian Eagles at 7:30 p.m. Both teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Oakridge and three for the Eagles.
Last Friday, Oakridge took a serious blow against the Hornets, falling 73-41. Oakridge has not had much luck with the Hornets recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Aaron Greenburg, who scored 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Miles Frazier, who scored nine points.
Meanwhile, Trinity Christian came up short against the Cougars on Tuesday and fell 48-38. While losing is never fun, Trinity Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 805th, while the Cougars are ranked 147th).
Oakridge has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season. As for Trinity Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-17.
Oakridge strolled past the Eagles in their previous matchup back in November of 2022 by a score of 52-34. Does Oakridge have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
