Make it six blowout wins for the Odessa Tigers this season. They really took it to Chesterton Academy of Notre Dame for the full four quarters, racking up a 57-28 victory at home. With Odessa ahead 33-10 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Hayden Schuh continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds. She has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last 14 times she's played. Mackenzie Lutz was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Several Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Taytem Collins, who scored four points along with eight rebounds and five steals. Collins has been hot recently, having posted four or more blocks the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Annelise Curran, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and six steals.
Odessa has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. As for Chesterton Academy of Notre Dame, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.
Odessa will face off against the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cusick is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home. Chesterton Academy of Notre Dame will take on the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wilbur-Creston-Keller presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Knights in Washington (the Wildcats are ranked 100th, while the Knights are ranked 306th).
