The Glendale Nitros''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fifth straight loss. They were outmatched by Hoover at home and fell 44-14. Glendale was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Hoover apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.
Although Glendale took the loss, they still got scores from Alfred Intriago and Austin Aldrete.
Hoover's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ethan Davis, who threw for 194 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan O, who rushed for 86 yards and a touchdown.
Glendale's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 5-5. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 11.0 points per game. As for Hoover, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 4-6 record this season.
Glendale does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Hoover also has no future games currently scheduled.
