It was a good run, but the West Deptford Eagles unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 51-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of Sterling. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for West Deptford in their matchups with Sterling: they've now lost eight in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sterling to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lexi Kuhn, who scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was Erin Quinn, who scored 14 points along with nine rebounds.
West Deptford's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-8. As for Sterling, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season.
West Deptford will head out on the road to challenge Woodbury at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sterling, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Timber Creek Regional at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New Jersey (Timber Creek Regional is ranked 142nd, while Sterling is ranked 148th).
