There's no place like home for The Madison County Red Raiders, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They took down East Forsyth 50-34 on Friday. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
East Forsyth's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Tripp Morris, who rushed for 143 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.9 yards per carry. The team also got some help courtesy of Brock Szackacs, who threw for 292 yards and a touchdown.
Madison County's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for East Forsyth, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-3.
Madison County will head out on the road to face off against Walnut Grove at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Walnut Grove will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 296th, while Madison County is ranked 129th). As for East Forsyth, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Chestatee at 7:30 p.m. Chestatee comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
