The Jefferson Academy Jaguars can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Tuesday. They blew past The Academy 52-21 at home. Winning may never get old, but Jefferson Academy sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Jefferson Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Sarah Welsch, who scored four points along with ten rebounds and three steals. Welsch is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Rylin Chichirico was another key contributor, scoring six points along with five steals.
Jefferson Academy's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for The Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jefferson Academy will take on Stargate School at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Stargate School comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 20 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for The Academy, The Academy and Eagle Ridge Academy will face off at 5:30 p.m. on January 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Eagle Ridge Academy is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
