Sabino waltzed into their matchup on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Northwest Christian Crusaders with a sharp 14-4 victory. With that win, the Sabercats brought their scoring average up to 6.5 runs per game.
Avery Nielson and Ella Morse made a big impact no matter where they played. Throwing, Nielson pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Morse struck out six batters over 3.1 innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off only two hits. That's the first time Nielson hasn't allowed a single hit since back in April of 2024. At bat, Nielson scored two runs while going 2-for-4, while Morse got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one double.
