Kennedy is 0-10 against James Logan since May of 2018 but things could change on Thursday. The Titans will be playing in front of their home fans against the Colts at 4:00 p.m. Kennedy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.
Last Tuesday, Kennedy came up short against Moreau Catholic and fell 10-7. The Titans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Danica Harper and Hannah Cornell stepped up to the plate in a big way. Harper scored a run while going 1-for-4, while Cornell scored a run while going 2-for-3. Harper also put up a double, which was her first of the season.
Meanwhile, James Logan got the win against Alameda on Wednesday by a conclusive 7-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Colts.
Gabriella Garcia spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Nevaeh Hall-Flores was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted over her last ten matches. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Medellin, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
Kennedy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for James Logan, their victory bumped their record up to 11-2-1.
James Logan's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Thursday. Kennedy has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.4 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for James Logan, though, as they've been averaging only 4.1 strikeouts. Will Kennedy keep running through batters, or will the Colts buck the trend?
