The Westminster Wolves will face off against the Pomona Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Westminster hasn't scored more than two runs for four games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.
Boulder hit Westminster with a four-run fifth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Wolves came up short against the Panthers, falling 11-1.

Meanwhile, Pomona fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Standley Lake on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Gators by a score of 10-9.
Gage Douglas made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-5 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Damani Chavez was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Pomona's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Westminster has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.7 hits per game. It's a different story for Pomona, though, as they've been averaging 8.9 hits. Given Westminster's sizable advantage in that area, the Panthers will need to find a way to close that gap.
Westminster might still be hurting after the 12-3 loss they got from Pomona when the teams last played back in May of 2025. Will the Wolves have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other baseball content.
