After a string of five wins, the Frazier Commodores's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a 60-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of Charleroi. Frazier has not had much luck with Charleroi recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
When it comes to explaining why Frazier lost, one person who can't be blamed is Brennen Stewart. Despite the final result, he scored 15 points along with seven rebounds. The game was Stewart's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Brock Alekson was another key contributor, scoring six points along with eight rebounds.
Frazier's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Charleroi, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-4.
Frazier won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against California at 4:00 p.m. on December 29th. California is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Charleroi, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Mt. Carmel Christian at 7:30 p.m.
