Sam Houston was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.
Despite the loss, Sam Houston still got an impressive performance from Terry Brock, who scored 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamal Animashaun, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Sam Houston has been struggling recently as they've lost 16 of their last 17 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-23 record this season. As for Lamar, their win ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-17.
Sam Houston will face off against the Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Martin presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Texans in Texas (the Warriors are ranked 179th, while the Texans are ranked 724th). As for Lamar, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Gophers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
