West Yosemite recap December 3, 2013
El Diamante extended the longest winning streak in West Yosemite this week by beating Sanger, 21-17. The victory was the eighth in a row for the team.
El Diamante and the Apaches played the closest game in the league this week, with El Diamante eventually emerging with a 21-17 victory. JC Robles threw for 154 yards and 2 touchdowns and ran for 35 yards in the win.
6-foot-1 quarterback Jake Young of Hanford is the league leader in passing yards this season with 2,643. He has also thrown 17 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Rickie Garcia. The Redwood star has 52 catches for 948 yards.

Mark Rogers' team made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 1,115 from 1,210. The advance stemmed from a 21-17 victory over Sanger last week.
