Desert Hills dropped their record down to 23-5 on Monday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Crimson Cliffs Mustangs by a score of 2-0. The shutout was out of character for the Thunder seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in April.

As for Crimson Cliffs, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 18 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games.

For Crimson Cliffs' part, not much got past MADDEN SMITH, who gave up just two hits and racked up six Ks to keep Desert Hills off the board. SMITH has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

As of now, neither Desert Hills nor Crimson Cliffs have any future games scheduled.
