The Colleyville Heritage Panthers are on the road again on Friday and play against the Cooper Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on November 17th. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Colleyville Heritage had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past Denton 71-13 on the road. The result was nothing new for Colleyville Heritage, who have now won eight games by 31 points or more so far this season.
Colleyville Heritage relied on the efforts of Braden Blueitt, who picked up 68 receiving yards and three touchdowns, and Luke Ullrich, who threw for 116 yards and two touchdowns. Bodey Weaver was another key contributor, throwing for 93 yards and two touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes.
Chapin typically have all the answers at home, but on Friday Cooper proved too difficult a challenge. Cooper enjoyed a cozy 42-27 win over Chapin.
Daniel Bray got back to being his usual excellent self, as he rushed for 253 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 12.7 yards per carry. Bray really tore up the turf during one magnificent 77-yard run. The team also got some help courtesy of Austin Cummins, who threw for 130 yards and two touchdowns.
Colleyville Heritage's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Cooper, they pushed their record up to 5-6 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road.
