The Woodlan Warriors and the Hamilton Heights Huskies will face off at 1:00 p.m. on February 10th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Woodlan comes in on six and Hamilton Heights on 13.
Woodlan extended their postseason success on Saturday against Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran. They walked away with a 53-45 win over the Cadets.
Woodlan found their leader in underclassman Alyssa Anderson, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 17 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Anderson has scored all season. Taylor Kneubuhler was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, Hamilton Heights slipped by Jay County 37-36 on Saturday.
It was another big night for Camryn Runner, who scored 28 points. She is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 17 or more in the last 24 games she's played.
Woodlan is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a massive bump to their 18-8 record this season. As for Hamilton Heights, their win bumped their record up to 23-2.
Saturday's matchup is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Woodlan have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 33.2 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Hamilton Heights struggles in that department as they've been averaging 20.6 rebounds per game.
