Everything went their way against the Silver Stage Nighthawks on Saturday as they made off with a 22-12 win. The victory was some much needed relief for the Wolverines as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
West Wendover got a massive performance out of Brisieda Haro, who went 4-for-5 with four runs, four RBI, and one triple. Those four hits gave Haro a new career-high. Alyssa Miramontes was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and four RBI.
Haro wasn't the only one making solid contact: West Wendover kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 22 hits. That's a new trend for the Wolverines: they were averaging 3.5 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matchups they've averaged 11.
West Wendover's win bumped their record up to 5-13. As for Silver Stage, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-10.
