The Ocean Springs Greyhounds typically have all the answers at home, but on Friday the Harrison Central Red Rebels proved too difficult a challenge. They managed a 73-69 victory over the Greyhounds. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Harrison Central.
It was another big night for Aujaylen Barron, who scored 34 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Nehemiah Barnett, who scored eight points along with five assists and three steals.
Harrison Central has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. As for Ocean Springs, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-4.
Harrison Central will face off against Ridgeland at 11:30 a.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Mississippi (Ridgeland is ranked 25th, while Harrison Central is ranked 37th). As for Ocean Springs, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against D'Iberville at 7:30 p.m.
