In what's become a running theme this season, the Pine Hill Warriors gave their fans yet another huge victory on Saturday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 74-26 win over Tse' Yi' Gai. Winning may never get old, but Pine Hill sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Pine Hill's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Clifferrol Jake, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Brett Baker, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds and five assists.
Pine Hill has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season. As for Tse' Yi' Gai, their loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pine Hill will challenge Laguna Acoma at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New Mexico (Laguna Acoma is ranked 131st, while Pine Hill is ranked 106th). Tse' Yi' Gai on the road again on Tuesday and play against To'hajiilee at 6:30 p.m. on January 30th.
