With a playoff game on the line, the Northwood Timberwolves rose to the challenge on Friday. Everything went their way against the Oilers as they made off with a 64-44 win. The win was familiar territory for Northwood who now have three in a row.
Northwood's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Zaid Yunis, who scored 24 points along with six rebounds. Yunis is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 19 or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sidd Raj, who scored 15 points along with two blocks.
Northwood has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 23-7 record this season. As for Huntington Beach, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 13 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 16-14 record this season.
Northwood will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Bosco Tech at 7:00 p.m. on February 13th. Bosco Tech has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. Huntington Beach does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
