The Battery Creek Dolphins lost against the Beaufort Eagles on January 10th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Battery Creek was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 35-34 to Beaufort. Battery Creek has not had much luck with Beaufort recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Beaufort found their leader in underclassman Carson Crosby, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 18 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Crosby has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Faith Owens, who scored six points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Battery Creek dropped their record down to 3-12 with that loss, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Beaufort, their win bumped their record up to 6-13.
Battery Creek will head out on the road to take on Hanahan at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Hanahan focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Friday. As for Beaufort, they will be playing at home against North Charleston at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
